Halloween has always been about letting the kids go out and have fun collecting candy throughout their neighborhood. However, Jimmy Kimmel’s annual ‘I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Candy’ segment has let the parents have some fun as well.
This year was no exception as Kimmel aired his sixth edition of the hilarious montage of parents telling their kids that they ate all of their candy and filming the reaction. Jimmy threw in a twist this time by pulling the prank on his own 2-year-old daughter Jane.
‘This is our sixth year of doing this and for the first time in six years, I have a trick-or-treater living in my house,’ Kimmel explained on his show. ‘We dressed her as a monkey last night and we went around the block. She was really excited about the candy, even though she doesn’t know the difference between lollipops and popsicles.’
‘Jane was very happy last night. She woke up this morning in a snippy mood and she’s also at the age where she says ‘No’ to everything,’ Kimmel continued. ‘So I decided this was the perfect time to tell her I ate all her Halloween candy.’
‘You’re already in a bad mood? It’s about to get worse,’ Kimmel tells his daughter Jane. ‘Remember all the candy we got? Daddy ate all of it.’
Jimmy’s daughter may have been a little too young to wrap her head around this news that most kids find absolutely devastating. However, the video’s still equally as adorably hilarious as Jane continually contradicts everything her dad says.
